No: Get in contact with the Dentist who did the root canal treatment and relate your symptoms. You may need further treatment and/or an antibiotic. You should need nothing more for pain than ibuprofen. Make the call and get better. Good Luck.

It is normal: to feel moderate pain in the area for a few days after your root canal. However, if you have severe pain or pressure that lasts more than one weeks, contact your dentist.
