After RCT: It's common to feel some pain after having rct. You would need to have this followed up with your own dentist to ensure proper healing, elimination of infection and success of the procedure. Any questions should really be posed to the dentist treating you.

How long ago ?: Your post did not say. If you are currently under treatment, it may just be normal post treatment inflammation or a lingering infection in the bone... If the root canal was completed a while ago, you may have a recurrent infection or a fracture. Have the tooth evaluated.

Depends: The time frame from when the root canal was completed (if totally completed) is important. Sometimes the bite may have to be adjusted so that you are not hitting the tooth too hard after treatment. If in doubt, i would go back and ask questions.
