..on a period?: Your body is thinking that you are on a period, well, you are.! You are just not seeing the actual endometrial blood, but with the cervix still in place the dark watery discharge is exudate from the cervical stump and possible a portion of the uterus containing residual endometrium. If this is problematic for you a GYN can surgically remove the cervix in its' entirety vaginally.
