Not much: Linear erythema sounds like what's found on endoscopy after the endoscope is looped in the stomach and presses against its curvature, resulting in some redness. The redness goes away, and doesn't cause any symptoms or problems. Its difficult to understand what your doctor is describing without her providing some more detail.
