X-ray quality issue: Prominent hila and bronchovascular markings are often a sign of pulmonary edema, but this would be rare in an otherwise healthy young male. A low quality x-ray acquired front to back (AP) not back to front (PA) can artifactually accentuate some of the mediastinal finding.
