X-ray quality issue: Prominent hila and bronchovascular markings are often a sign of pulmonary edema, but this would be rare in an otherwise healthy young male. A low quality x-ray acquired front to back (AP) not back to front (PA) can artifactually accentuate some of the mediastinal finding. Further exam with your PCP will likely include pulmonary function tests (PFTs) and to check for signs of asthma.
