During a chest x-ray everything came out fine, but: slight accentuation of the bronchus-vascular interstitium (g translate) no infection, heart in order. just cough. got diacol w/ dextromethorphan hydrobromide monohydrate . anything serious? thx?

The negative chest x ray is re assuring. If the cough is productive, sputum may be sent for analysis, monitor temperature and avoid over use of cough preparations. For cough lingering more than 4 weeks, please follow up. Avoid smoke exposure and common allergens such as dust, mold and pollen. Consider allergy testing and treat post nasal drip with nasal saline after discussion with your PCP.
