I am 62 and had fever and cold. had gone for x-ray after bleeding twice from phelgm due to violent bouts of cough. x ray shows mildly prominent bronchovascular markings and horizontal fissure noted. is it normal? still coughing, but without blood?

Pneumonia: There may have been a source of the bleeding from the lower airway, and you may have had a bacterial pneumonia which is not resolving without antibiotics. Please discuss a course of antibiotics with your M.D. Nasal saline rinses may be used to relieve congestion and nasal inflammation. Watch for fever, prolonged cough and shortness of breath.
