Are whitish-yellow lumps on the posterior pharynx dangerous? what are they?

Likely harmless : If no soreness, fever, drainage or redness in the region, then likely to be harmless. If any of those features are present, then get checked.

Unusual: It could be an infection(in which case your throat will hurt when you swallow food). Such bumps can be enlarged tonsils whichcan get infection and show yellow spots on the surface. If you are concerned you should show it to your GP or seek and ENT specialist's opinion. I do not think they are dangerous unless there is sore throat in which case it could be strept throat requiring antibiotic treatm
