I wonder..: ....If what you are describing is actually post nasal drip? This is when discharge from your nose, sinuses or adenoids drips down your throat. It will certainly cause cough, and your throat can get quite sore. If the source is allergic, allergy medicines can help. If there is a sinus infection, antibiotics may help. In any case, see a doctor.
