My dr suspects pstt but says i need a biopsy before surgery? the mass is 7 cm and has an adjacent heterogenous echogenic mass against. isn't a biopsy before surgery a waste of time? i would need additional referrals. trying to get to uc irvine quickly.

Alternative: A fine needle aspiration / punch or core biopsy should be the first step. Loma Linda is also a good choice
