Which side? Rephrase: Left/right? Front/back? Has this happened before? Did it sneak up on you or suddenly develop? What is the nature of the pain? Do you have a fever? Shortness of breath? Cough? Nausea? Leg swelling? Is it worse before or after eating - especially fatty foods? Any skin changes/rashes? Any other chronic medical conditions like sickle cell disease? There are endless possibilities. Please get an exam.
