The tip of my right index has been numb for a few hours. i got a cut below my nail on the same finger a few days ago and i picked at it yesterday. why is my finger numb?

Numbness: picking at the wound may have caused short-term nerve trauma which numbness is the result. It should resolve itself in a couple of days. If not visit your primary care physician

Finger injury: the cut may have injured some of the nerves that provide sensations to the tip of the finger. Some of the sensations may recover over time
