Not advised: It is really not advised to change settings on your cpap machine without consulting your pulmonologist. Doctors can refuse to treat patients. If they do refuse to treat you they are obligated to give you sufficient time to find a new physician.

You can but: You can change settings, but if you don't follow MDs instructions to your detriment, you can be discharged as a patient. Work with your MD. Tell him why you want to alter the settings.
