What's a good way for us to encourage my dad to eat after cancer treatments?

Honest answer: You can't. It's a huge battle that families wage helplessly. It is common: post op; with lung cancer, particularly squamous variety. Treatment sometimes improves. Megace (megestrol) in high doses sometimes works. May be related to tumor necrosis factor, also called cachexin.
