Lower carbs: Eat breakfast and drink plenty of water. Walk for 60 minutes daily. Do not snack or eat junk food. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. If you eat meat only eat small portions and twice a day. Cut back on carbohydrates which are sugars and starches such as bread, pasta, potatoes and rice. Good luck.

In general...: Complex carbohydrates, fruits and vegetables, 70 grams of fiber daily on average (for a man), lean proteins (fish preferably) to equal one gram of protein per kilogram of body weight, minimized intake of fat (especially saturated and trans fats - monounsaturated and polyunsaturated are less bad), and a multivitamin and mineral formula.
