Muscle spasms: Vibratory muscle spasms, called fasciculations occur in muscles that have been overused causing fatigue and repetitive small contractions which produce a quivering sensation. This is quite common in the young, active person that may be dehydrated or unaccustomed to such activity. Usually resolves with time, rest and increased fluids/electrolyte replacement.
