US: The big fear with any new or unusual pain in calf is deep vein thrombosis or dvt. That clot is unstable and a tiny piece can break off and go to the lung. Very serious and possibly life threatening! go immediately to pcp as emergency and he or she should get stat venous doppler. If not done that way go to an er. If it is that DX you need immediate blood thinner and likey adm to hospital.
