Update glasses: You're likely experiencing a change in the near vision called presbyopia. This is a normal change where certain muscles of the eye that help with seeing things up close begin to weaken. Reading glasses are needed in this case or possibly bifocal eyeglasses. Your distance vision can change over time and if your glasses prescription is over 1 to 2 years old may just need an update for that.

Many possible reason: There are many possibilities, probably the most common being a refractive error, I.e you need glasses. Of course, diseases such as glaucoma, cataract, retinal disease, etc, must be ruled out. The best suggestion is to have an eye exam by an ophthalmologist who can determine your need for glasses and rule out any eye disease.
