What causes ankle pain on top front part of ankle and hard bony feeling bump ?

Could be Cyst: Would have to know more medical history, was there a sprain or injury. Where is this mass, how long, etc. Without knowing this, it is almost impossible to diagnose. Could be cyst, sprain or strain of tendons or ligaments, possible fracture. My advice would be to see foot/ankle specialist ASAP.
