Pyelonephritis?: The pain associated with a kidney infection, or pyelonephritis, occurs in the low back and lower abdomen and can be severe. You can try Tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen to take the edge off of it, but if that doesn't work, you may need to either contact your doctor or return to the emergency room for something stronger, until the antibiotics can kick in. I was diagnosed with a UTI after a urine sample, taken one dose Cipro (ciprofloxacin) and Pyridium. I am urinating chunks of bloddy tissue. Is this normal with UTI?
UTI symptoms but negative for nitrites. Positive for WBCs. Bad back pain and nausea. Cipro (ciprofloxacin) and bactrim didn't work. What do I have? What do I do?
I am taking my first round of Cipro (ciprofloxacin) tonight for possible UTI. May I also later take Aleve for my lower back pain?
