Depends: Type 2 diabetes typically develops very gradually over years, and would unlikely to be different after 3 months unless you have gained a large amount of weight. Type 1 diabetes, however, is not weight related and can come on rapidly over weeks or months. If you have symptoms of increased thirst, urination, weight loss, blurred vision, and fatigue, you should be checked.
