11/10 gfr tested 43, 12/5 gfr 39. no symptoms, no hbp 111/68, diabetes or heart disease. doc 86'd nabumatone, testblood 1 wk. do i have kidney disease?

Maybe: Estimating glomerular filtration rate from a spot serum creatinine is subscientific and i'm not the only physician who wishes it wasn't routinely reported. If you're a big person, especially a bodybuilder, you may be fine. But this is worth following up with at least repeat labs, urinalysis and perhaps a test of urine concentrating ability before you're a 'kidney patient.' hoping for the best.
