No: If an infection has resolved and you have finished the prescribed course of antibiotics, there is usually no reason to return for a follow up exam. Sometimes, the infection (especially if it walls itself off from surrounding tissue forming an abscess) recurs and requires surgical drainage; but this would be apparent because of an increase in swelling and pain. Good luck!
