Nearly conclusive: Almost certainly you weren't infected. The most commonly used HIV antibody tests ("3rd generation" tests) detect around 95% of infections by 4 weeks, but testing at 6-8 weeks is needed for a conclusive result. The newer "4th generation" (antigen-antibody) tests are conclusive any time 4 weeks or more after exposure. Check with the doctor's office or lab about which you had.
