Why do some people say it take one year up to two year for hiv to be detected on a test that i have to keep on testing till the test is positive? i have tested up to 10 months from exposure?

"Some people" who say anything like this don't know what they're talking about, do not understand when they actually became infected, or otherwise are just plain wrong, maybe intentionally untruthful. All standard HIV blood tests are 100% conclusive within 3 months of the last exposure; the most commonly used blood tests (AgAb, i.e. "4th generation") are conclusive at 45 days.

A negative 4th generation test after six weeks confirmed there’s no HIV infection. Recommend you see your primary care doctor and get tested for all STDs. Recommend safe, sex practices, abstinence monogamy, birth control, and use of condoms
