It's time to see...: When symptoms persist, or anytime one's eyes turn yellow, it's time to see one's primary care doctor. An exam will be done, and blood tests done to look for hepatitis (liver disease). Some kinds of hepatitis come and then go away, other kinds of hepatitis become chronic. However, an evaluation is needed to get to a diagnosis. Meanwhile, avoid drinking alcohol and avoid acetaminophen (Tylenol).
