No coming and going: Cancer of the throat is an area of the oral cavity separate from tongue and floor of mouth. It usually refers to oropharynx and below it the hypopharynx. When symptoms of a sore throat develop, this is a sign that the lesion has begun to ulcerate and this only progresses with possible bleeding and then metastasis to neck glands.
