Ask your surgeon!: Better yet, read pre-op instructions. While I can't speak for UK, most US surgeons, in their pre-op instructions that are copied to Family Docs for surgical clearance, request no aspirin & NSAIDs such as ibuprofen & naproxen (both available over-the-counter on this side of the pond) for days before. Some even request no fish oil & vitamin E. Best to follow your surgeon's instructions to the letter
