Ok to combine: in general it is ok to use both Advil (ibuprofen) and Vicodin for pain relief. They are chemically different types of pain reliever.

You can: You can take Advil to supplement your pain control, it does not interact with Vicodin. Don't take any Tylenol (acetaminophen), (acetaminophen) Vicodin contains Tylenol (acetaminophen) and you could potentially take too much. Quick note, Vicoprofen should not be taken with Advil. Yes, you can: There is no drug interactions and it is good idea to combine opioid with NSAID. Vicoden may be added to an NSAID when inadequate pain relief is obtained with a maximum dose an NSAID alone, especially for pain of a skeletal or arthritic nature.
