Its OK to take advil (ibuprofen): Advil (ibuprofen) is an NSAID which acts on our kidneys. When people take alcohol Tylenol or acetaminophen is the only drug we need to be concerned about. You can go ahead and take Advil (ibuprofen), if that is your concern. I do have to mention that Advil (ibuprofen) or other NSAID's can cause gastritis, so if you have any history of GERD or acid reflux you may want to take OTC-PPI (over the counter proton pump inhibitor)
