Amblyopia: If you have not used the eye for a long time , the receptors in that eye will be reduced or atrophied and the image transmission to the brain goes down as well. This problem may be reversed in some during the first few years of age but not after that. It is best to talk to an eye doctor to find out whether there may be other causes for your vision loss.

Need Eye examined: There can be more than one cause for poor vision. If you have not yet done so, you should get your left eye checked by an Eye specialist(Ophthalmologist) or first go to your family doctor and let him/her decide if you need to be seen by a specialist.
