Clean out: While one would assume you were pretty cleaned out for your colonoscopy, three days later you should be passing stool. You never want to rely on enemas to treat your constipation, and there should be medicines to take by mouth to help you go. Ask your doctor what he or she might recommend in terms of laxatives or newer medications for chronic constipation.
