Initially, try increasing the fiber in your diet, perhaps adding a dose of Metamucil daily to your regimen, and drink plenty of liquids. If this does not help or if you continue to have persistent change in your bowel habits, be sure to see your gastroenterologist. Good luck.

Somewhat typical to develop constipation following use of antidiarrheals. Best for constipation a fiber rich diet, proper hydration and physical exercise, walking/running specifically. In case symptoms remain significant in spite of lifestyle changes seeing your doc will be best as work up may be needed.
