Is it normal for sle patient to have eye redness when having malar rash flare up, at the same time ?

It can but need more: We need more information. The red eye may not be lupus and you need to discuss this with your physician or ophthalmologist. It could be lupus eye involvement but also viral and that is why you need to distinguish this.
