External otitis: External otitis - an infection. Usually develops from using Q-tips or getting water in ear.Use OTC antiseptic ear drops or apply a drop or two of isopropyl alcohol with a medicine dropper in the ear canal. Shake head to swish the drops and then tilt the head to allow the canal to drain out. The ear drops or alcohol dry up excess water and help kill bacteria. See ENT doc if not better. NO Q-TIPS!!

Itchy ears: Itchy ears this time of year could be an indication of environmental allergy. You do not mention what the sinus pill is. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) would act quickly if this is the cause, but may be sedating. Be sure to read labels of otc meds for any contraindications. If this works, then try Zyrtec for a longer acting and less sedating effect.
