I've had issues with pilonidal cyst, sinus. lately, though, haven't had pain and there's been little to no drainage from what i can tell; just two small dimples. itches some. should i see a doc? or just keep it clean, shaven, and not worry too much?

It sounds you have an inactive non infected pilonidal cyst. Agree with normal cleansing during daily showers. I would not recommend shaving as a break in the skin could lead to infection.
