Heel pain: Heel pain is most likely due to a tight Achilles tendon, which causes pain in the back of your heel or the bottom of the heal both. Another cause could be tight fitting shoes that lead to a bump on the outside of your heel. It is important to know when the pain is worst, what area of your heel do you feel the pain in, and if it improves with change in foot ware or activities.

Plantar fasciitis : The most likely cause is something called plantar fasciitis. The plantar fascia is a thick tissue that attaches to the heel bone(calcaneus). It can become inflamed and cause pain with walking and running. It can be treated by stretching, anti-inflammatory drugs, and heel cups(can get at pharmacy or sports store). Try a google search for the exercises. Sometimes a cortisone injection may help.
