A member asked:

How can you treat pain from a surgery you had 12 years ago that resulted in two screws in both wrists, the kneecap and an ankle growth plate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See you doctor: First of all, if you are 40 and had surgery 12 years ago the growth plate in your ankle was long closed. My recommendation would be to see an orthopedic doctor and see why and where the pain is coming from. Obviously after 12 years the original surgeries are healed. The screws can be causing issues, you may have a meniscus tear, and or traumatic arthritis. That's why you need to get evaluated ASAP
