A member asked:

I had blood work done due to 1.4 cm pancreatic lesion. a/g ratio is 0.9 low and amylase 24 low. what could it mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lab values: A low amylase has no clinical significance. Reasons for a low A/G ratio include hypoalbuminemia and hypergammaglobulinemia. But the lesion needs follow up, first with MRCP and then endoscopic ultrasound with possible fine needle aspiration.
