Mgt: I would advise having a surgical follow up visit. So early in the course after a procedure there can be pain in that area. If you have jaundice, change in stool or urine color, fever or swelling, please seek immediate care.

It is not: unusual to have more pain at the surgical site compared to the trocar sites, probably because of local irritation at cholecystectomy site. If pain is not severe, and you have no fever, nausea, vomiting, distension, obstipation, or diarrhea, it will probably go away. If it is still painful in a few days or if you develop any of these other symptoms, contact your surgeon for advice.
