New Coping Skills: Cutting is a high risk coping skill. You need to learn some coping skills and practice them while you are relaxed and then in a stressful situation and eventually they will work in a panic attack. Additionally, medications are enormously effective in reducing the frequency of panic attacks once they are taken for 6-8 weeks. Please seek psychiatric help.

Breath through it.: If you can find a quiet place - do so. Breath in slowly ; deeply through your nostrils. Fill your lungs with air (but not to the point of discomfort). Hold for a count of five then slowly begin to exhale through an open mouth. Repeat at least 12 times, longer if you need to. If you haven't been assessed for your panic/ anxiety - that would be prudent. Dialectical behavioral therapy may be helpful.
