Rupture bursa: First try PT and if no improvement see an orthopedist. MRI and or arthrogram of shoulder can be done.

Bursitis in the--: --the shoulder can be painful but if it ruptures you should have initially immediate relief as the pressure is released. Rotator cuff disease is a different animal. Need orthopedic hands on exam & imaging. Bursitis responds to injections, while cuff disease needs evaluation of the entire shoulder. Get in to see a fellowship trained sports medicine orthopedic surgeon.
