Suggest: Although cannot properly diagnose based upon information provided, might suggest a visit first to an orthopedic surgeon and get evaluation. You may have suffered a small boney injury which could be the answer, but joint problems may be alternative explanation.

Many possibilities: What was the injury? Fracture? Dislocation? Bruise? Pain that is worse with sitting can be from the sciatic nerve. Dull aching when the legs are dependent can be related to veins. Could be a joint problem, arthritis, and might not even be related to the injury. Start with a good physical exam, then maybe tests or imaging based on exam findings. Hope this helps.
