Doc don't play: If you are having trouble finding a doctor to prescribe you klonapin you are seeing some good savvy doc's. Benzodiazepines are no longer the first line choice as they are addictive and can cause the locus coeruleus to increase the anxiety receptors in response to benzo use--causing tolerance and increased anxiety. SSRI's are now the first treatment of choice, and have a better longterm outcome.

Anxiety: Klonopin (clonazepam) is a benzodiazepine, a short term me that can cause you to develop tolerance when used regularly. Better choices are treatment with a Psychologist expert in treating anxiety disorders. Preferrably EMDR Therapy for faster results and more effective. Other medication that is longer lasting and better overall would be SSRI type meds. Don't produce tolerance and are much safer.Consider a VTC
