Tan baby: Skin color can change during first year, BUT sometimes what you see as darker skin color could be JAUNDICE caused by high levels of bilirubin (common and usually resolves). However, more rarely, darker skin color could indicate a more serious problem called Addison's Disease, where the adrenal glands don't make enough cortisol. High melanin production is a side effect. See your pediatrician ASAP.
