A member asked:

Do you babies under the age of one year actually need any leafy vegetables? hundreds of years ago, were babies given vegetables to eat?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Breast milk: Feeding practices vary by culture and the age of the person. Aboriginal cultures often breast fed exclusively & then weaned the kid to whatever the tribe was eating. They ground up and fed the kid whatever everybody else was eating. Vegetables of all sorts were fed in season. Today early infant feeding grew out of a need triggered by home made baby formula which were better for cows than humans.
