Yes but limit it: As long as your 1 year old doesn't have food allergies so far i would start with plain chocolate. Make sure the baby is not allergic to nuts before giving more complex chocolates. With the rise in childhood obesity i would limit sugary snacks to once a day of a small snack.

A 31-year-old male asked:
Why is it bad to give chocolate to babies?

Food allergy: The intestines of a newborn are still maturing for the first year after birth.Introduction of such items as egg white and chocolate before the first birthday has been shown to trigger development of a food allergy to such items which develops over time & can have a negative effect on the kids quality of life.
