Dr. Michael Gabor answered

Specializes in Diagnostic Radiology

A negative: MRI is normal and therefore detects no diseases. MRI is capable of detecting numerous structural, neoplastic, inflammatory, vascular, traumatic, and demyelinating disorders. A negative mri rules out many types of these disorders, but not all.
