I had a ct scan. and it says "mucosal thickening is noted in the right antrum". what does this mean? is this a serious issue?

Not serious: I hope the CT was of your sinuses. It would help to know that. If it is, the this is sometimes referred to as chronic sinusitis. Nasal sprays will help. Many over the counter steroid sprays available so talk to your doctor

It iindicates: chronic changes due to infections in the past! It does not necessarily mean acute sinus infection! Hope this helps! \DR Z
