What is nodular mucosal thickening of maxillary sinuses mean on ct scan?

The sinuses are lined by tissue called mucosa. The words say the lining is thicker than usual and lumpy. It suggests prior maxillary sinus irritation from viruses or bacteria. By itself, the wording does not mean anything worrisome. You should discuss the study with your doc to see how it applies to you.
